Richard Eaton Strouse 81, of Crestview, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Richard was born on April 4, 1943 to Matthew and Lorraine Strouse in Goodwater, Alabama.
Richard was a retired veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Elvie Strouse, his parents, Matthew and Lorraine Strouse, his brothers, Paul Strouse, Bill Strouse and Hugh Strouse, his sisters, Janice, Shirley, Mary and Maxine.
Richard is survived by his brother, James Strouse, his sister, Dixie and Lou Debaux, his sisters in law, Wanda and Dwight Davis, Ann Strouse and Lois Strouse, his brother in law, Carl Maddox and multiple nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor John Reaves officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Richard will be missed. I was his nurse for several years. He is with Elvie now. He sure loved her. Rest in peace Richard.

Sorry to learn of Richard’s passing. I have fond memories of Richard’s phone calls to his sister (my wife) Shirley Strouse Schnitzler on her birthdays.
