Russell Allen Lawson Jr.

Russell Allen Lawson Jr. 86, of Laurel Hill, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Russell was born on February 23, 1939 in Spokane, Washington to Russell Allen Lawson Sr. and Dorothy Bradshaw Lawson.

Russell moved to our area in 1974 from Spokane, Washington and has been a resident ever since. He was a fleet manager at Perdue Farms and a member of Lifepoint Church where he was an usher. Russell was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Russell is preceded in death by his son, David A. Lawson and his parents, Russell Lawson Sr and Dorothy Bradshaw Lawson.

Russell is survived by his wife of 62 years Glenda Childs Lawson, two sons, Scott A. Lawson of Suwanee, Georgia and Glen A. Lawson of Laurel Hill, Florida, his sister, Rae Lawson Malagiero and six grandchildren, Charlotte, Samuel, Jeremiah, Patrick, Christopher and Isaac.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jack Day officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2025  from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
