Daniel James Hester

Daniel James (Dan) Hester, 88 of Crestview Florida, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. Mr. Hester was born on February 21, 1933, in Blakely, Georgia to James & Zadie Hester. He moved to Crestview in 1994 from Fort Walton Beach Florida and has been a resident ever since. Dan retired after 38 years of Civil Service at Eglin Air Force Base on the Emerald Coast and was a USAF Veteran – Korean Conflict. Dan was a member of Oakland Assembly of God in Fort Walton Beach and a Life member of the DAV Eagles Club.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents James and Zadie Hester, stepdaughter Elizabeth Estes Everage.

Dan is survived by his wife Ila Faye Hester, three children, Danny Hester of Moab, Utah, Debra Hewitt of Moab, Utah, David Hester of Moab, Utah, step children, James Estes, Jodie Felecia, son in law, Ralph Everage (Grandchildren) Megan Anaya and Samuel Everage, Numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Michael Anaya and Matilda Anaya.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021, beginning at 2:00pm, from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service, with Pastor Harry Tomlin officiating.
