Jimmie Faye (Green) Folkerts

Jimmie Faye Folkerts 89, went to be with the Lord on June 2,2025. She was born on November 13,1935, in Garden City, Florida.
She attended school at Silver Springs in Garden City and after 8th grade she went to Laurel Hill School. She told us about picking Tung Oil nuts from Tung Oil trees to earn money in her teen years.
Jimmie Faye was a loving mother, homemaker and
wife. In her later years she worked at Piper Aircraft, Fairchild and Grumman Aircraft.
She was “Born Again” on September 12,1982. She attended Southside Baptist church at this time.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved Holidays when we would all get together. She enjoyed many trips with her husband Jim, and special girl trips with her daughters. She enjoyed watching baseball. The Cubs were her favorite team. She also enjoyed good country music. Alan Jackson was one of her favorites.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Pearl Green, twin infant daughters Sharon Kay and Karen Faye, two infant sisters Eunice Marcella and Opal Green, and brother Johnnie (Gene) Green.
She is survived by her husband Jim Folkerts, daughters, Regina (Carlis Fowler),Donna (Antonio Pasulo), Jan (Terry Gibbs). One step-daughter Denise Folkerts (Jack Lewis), her brother, Mickey Green. She was a proud Grandma to nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Family would like to especially thank the caregivers and nurses at Solaris Healthcare in Pensacola,
(one special nurse, her granddaughter Lisa Michelle) and her special friend Morgan Trenkler at Shoal Creek rehab.,We could never thank you enough for all you did for her these last seven years.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14,2025 at Campton Assembly God Church, Laurel Hill, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by Memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Lunch will be provided after for family and friends in the fellowship room.
