Mildred Campbell Harrison
It is with heavy hearts that our Lord and Savior called home his faithful servant and our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mildred C. Harrison, age 95, on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
She was a very caring school teacher at Laurel Hill High School for over 30 years, who loved all her students, and they also loved her. She was very active in her church and when younger was the choir leader. She was active in leading Sunday School and helping care for the church in many ways. Right behind her deep faith was her devotion to her family and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. She was a devoted care giver, taking care of her husband, who was blind during the last twenty five years of his life.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Austin Harrison. She is survived by a son, Dale Harrison, and daughter, Debra Green and Leon Green, two grandchildren, Eric Harrison and Bethany of Lynchburg, Virginia and Allison Boyett and Greg of Crestview, Florida. Two great grandsons, Austin and James Harrison, as well as two nieces, Patti and Dave Gordon and Shelby Harrison, and two nephews, Gary Harrison and Bob and Ditra Campbell. Several great nieces and nephews also survived by.
Although Mildred was confined to a nursing home the last several months of her life, she continued to live in a way that reflected her deep love for family and friends.
“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure; you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure”
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
