Carolyn Eunita Bass Griffith

Carolyn Eunita Bass Griffith, 93 of Crestview, Florida went to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Carolyn was born in Holt, Florida on March 26, 1928, to Carrie Lou Mount Bass and Joseph A. Bass. She was the oldest of seven children, Carolyn learned to work hard and help where needed. She was a 1946 graduate of Baker School where she loved playing softball and basketball. Carolyn was employed by the City of Crestview Water Department and retired after 25 years of service. After her retirement she spent time traveling the United States, Canada and many cities in Europe. When she wasn’t traveling, she was very active with her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities. She loved playing cards and games, working in her garden, growing flowers and bowling. Carolyn loved to go fishing and crabbing and having family gatherings was always a must. She loved to cook and share her favorite recipes that were handed down to her through the years. Her greatest love was for her family as she always put them first before herself. Carolyn loved God and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Crestview.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Carrie Bass, her husband, Otis Griffith, her sons, Carl, Ronald and Rodger Griffith, her brothers, Calvin, Durwood, Farris and Harvey Bass. Carolyn is survived by her son, Dale (Pam) Griffith, her daughter, Theresa (Ricky) Hinds, daughter-in-law, Delia Griffith, her sister, Delores Aaron, her brother, Farrell (Carol) Bass, sister-in-law, Aletha Bass, eight grandchildren, Niki, Michael, Stacie, Nikki, Daniel, Nick, Karson and Jason, ten great grandchildren, Dillian, Cole, Savannah, Payton, Dulton, Dylan, Kaden, Haileigh, Brydget and Randsli along with many nieces and nephews. Her special friend, Betty Wathall. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Brackney Funeral Service 480 East James Lee Blvd. Crestview, Florida. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021, beginning at 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Crestview with Pastor Mike McVay officiating. Burial to follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
