Opel Jeanette LaFaver

Opel Jeanette LaFaver 82 of Laurel Hill passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at home with her family at her side. Mrs. LaFaver was born January 28, 1939, in Sherrill, Arkansas and moved here to Okaloosa County in 2001. Jeanette was a retired accountant with The Kroger Company in Louisville Kentucky. She helped with animal rescue to include wildlife, parrots, cats & dogs. Opel enjoyed gardening and spending the day with her family.
Opel is preceded in death by her mom, Nola Hill LaFaver, her dad, Paul LaFaver, her brother Stancel LaFaver.
Opel is survived by her daughter, Karen (Bob) Korn, two nephews whom she raised and loved as sons, Andrej (Wife – Andrea, Son – Aidan) LaFaver, Alek (Wife- Nikki) LaFaver, two brothers, Wayne (DeAnna) LaFaver, Jimmie LaFaver, sister-in-law, Betty LaFaver.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 17, 2021, beginning at 2pm at Heritage Gardens Cemetery 2201 N. Partin Drive, Niceville Florida 32578 with Brother Fred Jordan officiating. In Lieu of Flowers please donate to H.E.A.R.T. Animal Rescue www.heartanimalrescue.org.
