Julia Mae Cox 85, of Baker Florida passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at home with her family at her side. Julia was born on May 15, 1936, in Coffee County Alabama to Osker and Mary Grimes. Julia moved to Okaloosa County in 1954 and has been a resident ever since. She was a telephone operator with Centel Telephone Company.
Julia is preceded in death by her husband, James E Cox Sr, her mother, Mary Grimes, her father, Osker Seth Grimes, three brothers, Oneal Grimes, Thomas Grimes and Allen Grimes.
Julia is survived by three sons, James E. Cox Jr and Marta Diaz, Seth Broward (Cindy) Cox and Kenneth Lynn (Sharon L.) Cox, three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, beginning at 10:00 am at Shady Grove Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating.

James, Broward, and Kenny, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Julia for about 26 years. During that time I heard a lot about you boys and the grand children.
