Larry Frederick Hardell
1938 – 2024
Larry Hardell was born in Valier, Illinois, to Joe and Loretta Hardell. He joined the Air Force in 1956, and was stationed at Keesler AFB in Mississippi, where he learned to work on radar systems. He worked for Vitro, RCA, and GE. He traveled the world, and retired from Vitro in 1998 to Crestview, Florida.
Larry was predeceased by his bride of forty-nine years, Bobbie, as well as by his parents and his younger brother, Daryl Hardell. He is survived by his sister, Donna Hardell, of Holiday, Florida, and his five children, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. As well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends who loved him.
His children are Pamela and Warren Scheibe, of Lake Arrowhead, California; David and Emily Hardell of Navarre, Florida; Joe and Catrina Hardell of Menifee, California; Debbie and Glen Renner of Paxton, Florida; and Karen Hardell of Milton, Florida.
The family is gathering in an informal remembrance at Larry’s home, in Crestview. He will be interred with Bobbie at Fort Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola at a future date.

I met Larry in 1961 at Vitro Site A20. He left and I never saw him again till a few years ago when he attended one of our Vitro luncheons. I was fortunate enough to have a long talk with him that day.
