We first met Paul when we joined the Florida Trail, Choctawhatchee Chapter about 12 years ago. He immediately made us feel welcome and we had the pleasure of joining him and his wife Wallis in many trail activities, including hiking, trail maintenance, kayaking, and frequent camping trips. I learned so much from Paul and I referred to him as my “Hero”. A better person than most people will ever meet, Paul will always be known as a hard worker, dependable, someone who could get things done, and a true friend. His friendly and humorous personally made people love him from the start. Paul and Wallis were the perfect couple and you could say “the heart and soul” of our local Chapter. He will truly be missed! Condolences to Wallis! We love you.

I have known Paul for 12 years, he has always been a kind soul and wonderful person. I have always enjoyed his playful side, he teased me about bears in the woods, and always made me laugh. Camping with Wallis and Paul is something I always looked forward to. Paul will be deeply missed, and will never be forgotten, his memory will live on with all of his family and friends that were a part of his life. Condolences to Wallis! We Love You

The news hit me hard. Even though I had not seen Paul and Wallis in several years due to health reasons (I live in Tallahassee), I think of them often. I will always have fond memories of Paul being so funny with John Wooten. Paul was a special person and he lived a good life.
