Faylene “Fay” Mason Harper was born on May 30, 1948, and passed away on November 25, 2024. A native of Crestview, Florida, Fay graduated from Okaloosa Walton Junior College Adult High School. After marriage, she settled in Pensacola, Florida, where she started her family. Fay enjoyed a distinguished career at Fisher Brown Insurance, retiring after nearly 30 years of dedicated service as an administrative professional and a licensed life and health insurance agent. She overcame gender biases in her career, making significant strides in her field. As a single mother, she raised her three children with unwavering love and remarkable resilience. Known for her vibrant personality, Fay often brought joy to gatherings, regardless of the occasion.
Fay is predeceased by her father, Johnny M “Jack” Mason Jr.; her mother, Ella Fair Griffith Mason; and her two sisters, Jannie Moore and Ann Foley. She is survived by her children, Michael Harper, Cheri (Chris) High, and Joey Harper; her grandchildren, Kayla  Slinger, Chad Holt, Savannah Harper, Sydnie (Joseph) O’Bannon, and Haylee High; her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Reagan, and Avery; and her brothers, Billy Joe (Liz) Mason and Steve (Marylou) Mason.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola for their exceptional care.
A funeral will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. from The Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Donnie Cadenhead officiating.  Burial to follow at Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
