Brenda Gayle Langley

Brenda Gayle Langley, age 75, of Cross City, FL went home to be with Jesus on December 23, 2024, after a brief illness.

Brenda was born on August 17, 1949, in Crestview Florida, twenty minutes before her twin sister Linda Fayle Langley. She grew up in Baker and graduated from Baker High School in 1967. After a brief stint in cosmetology, Brenda pursued a career in financial administration at the University of Florida in Gainesville where she retired from in 2009.

Those who knew and loved Brenda remember her as a bright light who loved her family very much. She had a deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and shared encouraging messages with her family almost daily. Brenda enjoyed doing her hair and makeup and had a love of jewelry and fashion. She also loved photography, listening to music, and cheering for her Florida Gators.

Brenda is proceeded in death by her father, Harvey H. Langley Jr.; two aunts, Carol Chunn and Cherry Wilkins; two uncles, John Clark Cosson and Donald Cosson; a niece, Whitney Megan Langley; and sister in-law, Yvonne Langley.

Brenda is survived by her mother, Jeanne Langley; twin sister, Linda Langley; two brothers, Greg Langley and Harvey H. Langley III; five nieces, Stephanie Langley Young, Heather Langley, Jessica Langley Lancon, Holly Gibson, and Naomi James; four nephews, Harvey H. Langley IV, Donald Langley, Samuel Langley, and Alan Langley;  numerous great nieces and nephews, great- great nieces and nephews, family, friends and her beloved dog Zander.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 2,2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The funeral will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service, Pastor Jason Dampier will be presiding.

Burial is to follow at Pyron Chapel Church Cemetery, Baker, FL,
