Richard Calvin Williams, 75, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
Richard was born on March 14, 1951, in Crestview, Florida, to Bobby and Reina Mathis. He spent his early years in Crestview and lived in Baker where he made his home for the remainder of his life. Richard worked as a plumber and was a faithful member of Milligan Baptist Church for more than 20 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, his steadfast faith, and his deep love for his family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Mathis and Reina Mathis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Williams; his son, Daniel Williams and wife, Kim; his daughter, Becky Williams; his beloved grandson, Ethan Williams; his sister-in-law, Bonnie Ellis; his niece, Angie Crinklaw and husband, Pat, and family; his nephew, Patrick Ellis and wife, Kristen, and family; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Richard's life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and faith. He found his greatest joy in the love of his family and the relationships he built throughout his life. Whether through his work, his church, or the quiet ways he cared for those around him, Richard left a lasting impression on all who knew him. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Donnie Cadenhead officiating. Burial will follow at Griffith Cemetery, Baker, Florida.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
