Charles E. Bishop (Garbo) passed into heaven on the morning of August 7, 2021, at home with his wife and son by his side. Charlie fought a long, hard battle against COPD for several years, but was unable to overcome complications from his COPD. Charlie lived in Crestview and worked on Eglin AFB for 40-years.
Charlie was born November 13, 1948, in Mobile, AL to Gordon and Ethel Bishop. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul, Leo, Sapo, Bill, sisters Rose and Ann. He is survived by his wife Carrie, son John, and sisters Shirley and Inez.
Funeral services will be held at Brackney Funeral Home in Crestview on Friday, August 13, 2021. The visitation begins at 1:00 pm and the memorial service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in his name.
