Charles Thomas Griffith 82, of Holt, Florida passed away peaceful at his home after a long battle with Leukemia surrounded by his family and friends. Charles was born on July 13, 1942 in Alford, Florida to Thomas and Eula Griffith and was a lifelong resident of Holt, Florida.

Charles was a master carpenter who worked for himself with Griffith Construction. He was an active faithful member of First Baptist Church of Holt, as he would take care of the grounds and was a longtime president of Holt Cemetery Committee.

Charles was an avid Yankee’s fan and enjoyed working outside in his yard and was always helping people however he could.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ilie and Eula Lee Griffith, his sister, Dorethea Woods, his brother in law, Don Woods, his Father and Mother in Laws, Alzie and Lucille Gibson.

Charles is survived by his wife, Windy Griffith, his three Nephews, Gary Woods (Mary), Dwayne Woods (Sybil) and Ronald Woods (Amette), his cousin, Jeanette Reed (Rusty) and family, his two brother in laws, Dale Gibson (Peggy) and Family and Al Gibson and family, six great nieces and nephews, seventeen great great nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Holt with Pastor Curt Rainey officiating. Burial to follow at Old Holt Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 2:oo p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Holt.

In Lieu of Flowers: the family has asked to donate to Holt Cemetery Fund.

Charles was one of the kindest persons I’ve known. He had such a servants heart and always a smile on his face. He loved helping others. Holt will never be the same. I can only imagine the family reunion going on in Heaven. Praying for peace and comfort for his family.

Charles was a Brother in CHRIST and friend. He was instrumental in assisting built the new & current Sanctuary Church at Holt, Fla. The community will miss him. May GOD BLESS THE FAMILY.

My dad and I worked behind Charles for years in construction. He was indeed a master carpenter and made many new homeowners happy. Prayers to the family.
