Edward “Ed” Eugene Charrette 88, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Ed was born on December 3, 1935 in Saco, Maine to Henri and Marie Charrette. Ed moved here locally in 1953 and has made Crestview his home.
Ed retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant, a veteran of the Korean Conflict Vietnam Era. He was a Patriot who loved his country and honorably served in the USAF until his retirement. Ed was Assembly of God by Faith and a member of Golan Assembly of God.
Ed is preceded in death by his wife of sixty nine years, Mable Charrette, his parents, Henri Elude Charrette and Marie Jane Michuad Charrette, and his siblings.
Ed is survived by his four children, Ken Charrette (Charlotte), Randy Charrette (Dana), Linda Bradley (David) and Lisa Gay (Ben), his four grandchildren, Kenny Charrette, Kristen Tillman, Christopher Edenfield and Robert Charrette, his two great- grandchildren, Riley and Hannah Tillman and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 beginning at 10:30 a.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Todd Sowell officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Fly high uncle Ed, you are missed and loved by many people, myself included. I know you are once more with your wife Aunt Mabel and the rest of your loved ones who have gone before you but most importantly I know you are with God now and I know there is nothing better. Until we meet again
