Elvie Louise Strouse

Elvie Louise Strouse 77, of Crestview Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Elvie was born on October 1, 1945, in Dothan Alabama to A. J. & Louise Maddox. She moved to Okaloosa County in 1957 and has been a long-time resident ever since. Elvie was a cook at the Tropical Palm restaurant in Crestview for many years and then as a custodian until her retirement.

Elvie is preceded in death by her parents, A.J. & Louise Maddox and her brother, Frankie “Buster” Maddox.

Elvie is survived by her husband, Richard Strouse, her brother, Carl Maddox, her sister, Wanda Davis (Dwight), three nephews, one niece and two great nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor John Reaves officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
