Farris D Steele, 78 of Blackman, passed away, Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Farris was born in Okaloosa County on July 17, 1941, he was a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County.
Farris retired from Forestry Services as a Heavy Equipment Operator after 30 years of faithful service, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a Mason, Beaver Creek Lodge #23 F& A.M., he enjoyed fishing, hunting, fish fry’s, and spending time with his family and grandsons.
Farris is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Steele, parents; Tommie & Lucile Steele, brothers; Brona Steele, Roger Steele, Johnie Steele, Chester Hollinhead, and one sister; Mary Steele. Farris is survived by one daughter: Teresa Atkinson, three brothers: Tommie Steele, Jr. (Juanita), LeGrande Steele, Gerald Steele, two sisters: Teresa Johnson, Marcia Fleming ( Kevin) two sisters-in-law: Jackie Hollinhead, Cheri Steele, two grandchildren: Joe and Cade, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services will be held Saturday, July 18th from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service, beginning at 11:00am with Wayne Steele and Carlos Jones Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Cotton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, July 17th from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

So sorry for your loss. I am sad that this virus has kept you from being able to have the kind of attendance that he deserved at his service.
I know it is hard to lose him. I am sure Brenda is rejoicing in heaven.
