Gary Lee Newton, 64 of Crestview Florida, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at home with his family at his side. Mr. Newton was born in Okaloosa County, on May 17, 1957, to Raleigh and Margarite Newton and has been a lifelong resident of the Northwest Florida area. Gary was a master carpenter who built beautiful cabinets and furniture. He was a loved PaPaw, an avid collector who enjoyed riding bikes, loved his family, friends and his four-legged companions.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh and Margarite Newton, his wife, Linda Newton, four brothers, Kenneth Marshall Newton, Gregory George Newton, James Edward Newton, Raleigh Herman Newton.
Gary is survived by two children, Michelle Parker, Chris Cox, two sisters Brenda Kay Schultz, Linda Williams, four grandchildren, Destiny, Mariah, Mackenzie, Samanta, three and a half, great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, October 1, 2021, beginning at 2:00pm, from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service, with Pastor Paul Mixon officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, October 1st from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers make contributions in honor of Gary Lee to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the Leukemia Foundation.
