Virginia and family,
I am so sorry to learn today of the passing of your dear Jerry. He and I were best friends while serving in the Marine Corps aboard the USS Constellation, 1962-64. We came to have absolute trust in each other and that bond was maintained throughout the years. In the 70s we visited each other’s families; Jerry in Florida and I in Tennessee. After that for years we maintained contact with phone conversations.
Jerry was a good Marine, a friend of highest quality and a fine man. May his memory bring comfort to you all.
