Cancer stinks!
Johnny was a true hero he fought until the very end, and he will be truly missed.
He was a one of a kind, he would give the shirt of his back and help anyone, yet he was a kid at heart when it came to his aunt, always ready to take a nap or sweet talk me into making biscuits and gravy for him, now he’s a handsome angel, love you john Eric, hope you are fishing!!!

My heart goes out to John’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of having John as a student when he went to Bruner. He was such a genuine, kind and friendly person and was loved by students and teachers alike. When I would run into him years later in the community, he would always go out of his way to say hello and ask how I was. He always had a smile and kind words to offer. He made the world a brighter place and will be missed. Praying for comfort and peace for all who knew and loved him.

I’ll love and miss you forever buddy! You were such a pure and genuine soul. We connected from the beginning and you have been my brother since. We could always pick up right where we left off no matter how much time had passed. You’ve been fighting this so hard and for a long time. I know you’re no longer in pain and that you are at peace. I’m more than sure that God was waiting with a warm embrace for you in heaven. Rest easy John. I love you so much man.

I’m blessed that I got the chance to meet him before he passed. With the short time that I knew him I could tell that he had such a pure soul, and he really touched those around him. His family welcomed me and made me feel at home right away, and they truly are amazing people. My condolences go out to the rest of John’s family and friends, and I will keep everyone in my prayers. ❤️
