Linda Harrison left us to be with The Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Linda was born on May 18, 1948 in Pensacola, FL to Arvil and Myrtice Boyd.
Linda was a faithful servant of The Lord her whole life. She attended the United Pentecostal Church in Niceville, FL for most of her adulthood playing the piano and leading worship services. Her last church home was Calvary United Pentecostal in Crestview, FL. She was also a faithful supporter of Tupelo Children’s Mansion and Mothers Memorial Missions. Anyone who knew her knew that attending church and The Lord came first. She was not a loud person but rather had a quiet meek spirit. Wanting to be used for God’s glory was her ultimate wish. She lived her life with a moral compass and never wavered in living out her convictions.
Linda taught her children the truth and how to walk uprightly in life. She viewed prayer as the most powerful weapon and she prayed for her community, the nation, her church, and her family daily. She was a devoted wife to Bobby Joe for thirty-four years until his death in 2001. They were complete opposites, and we are not sure how they managed to stay together, but they did. It is likely just another example of being true to her word and doing what she said she was going to do.
Linda was a retired office manager for CRI, a CPA firm. Her work ethic was much like her personality, low key but great! She was also an accomplished musician, seamstress, and a great cook. Her fried cornbread was legendary and she didn’t shy away from bacon grease or salt. She was a Canasta Queen – you played her at your own peril. Linda was a great sister, faithful wife, mama, grandma, and most importantly she was a servant of The Lord. The world is surely worse off because she is not in it. We will miss her greatly!
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Harrison, her parents, Arvil and Myrtice Gardner Boyd, and her brother, Gene Boyd.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Melissa Campbell, Bobbi Shawn Harsch (Randy), and son, Jacob Harrison (Rebecca), her sister, Marsha Anthony (Tony), and brother, Mark Boyd.
Grandchildren: Kristen, Michael, Katie, Emily, Lawson, Harrison, Ella-Kate, Koby, Jessica, Amy, Grady, and Zach, and one great grandchild, Bryson, numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family

My mom Jan, daughter Grace, and I send our sincere and deepest condolences for the passing on Mrs. Linda. This was our first home purchase and are so graciously and humbly blessed to have been neighbors with Mrs. Linda. Her character, personality, demeanor, attitude, and presence was SO peaceful and welcoming. My daughters great grandmother passed away in 2022 and Mrs. Linda was the closest thing to her great grandmother. We loved Mrs. Linda’s heavenly spirits and she always put the Lord first. It was and will always be a pleasure having sat on her porch and talking about life and the times both good and bad. She gave wonderful advice and loved her garden. She also loved to drink Coca-Cola sodas lol and would provide one to me when doing yard work, and to the Waste Management workers as they passed by twice a week haha what love she had! Thank you Mrs. Linda for being a part of our lives and may God Bless your soul 🙏🏾🙌🏾
