Marilyn “Jan” Simpson 76, of Crestview, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Jan was born on October 23, 1947 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to General and Edna Campbell. She lived most of her life in our area and was a member of New Beginnings Church and the American Legion, VFW Auxiliary.
Jan was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed spending time at the Casino.
Jan is survived by her two children, Dennis Folkerts (April) and Denise Lewis (Jack), her Fiance, Bob Foley, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 beginning at 11:00 am at New Beginnings Church with Pastor Jason Stokes officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 10 am – 11 am at the church.

R.I.P Jan I miss you every day and all the things we use to do. The phone calls and you asking my advice about things you were going through. Sorry I had no idea it was your time to go. But you aren’t hurting anymore. I hope I will see you. But I have no idea when that will be hopefully we both will be in heaven. I hope you are with your husband and having fun and watching over everyone you care for. I will always love you and don’t regret telling you our secrets. Thank you so much for being my friend.
