There is so much I want to say, yet the words can’t come. She brought so much joy at work and beyond work. Instantaneous friendship was not something I was used to, but with Marliese it was there from the first day we met. I hugged her that day. Her joy, her laughter, her humor, her love for her husband Jim and her dogs will not be forgotten.

Nooooooo… Marliese Baker was such a friend to Saving with Soul Pet Rescue… and one of the friendliest, warmest, cheerful-est people I’ve ever met.
This is such a loss to the Crestview community and to her Publix family. I know her SWS pup Popcorn is missing his mom terribly. To the family – please give him a big hug from his fans at SWS.
Marliese, you will be missed. Truly…

“Ms Ruby” is all I can hear you say right now. You saw me grow up. From that 16 year old bagger… to being a store manager at Hibbett’s in Panama City at just 20. Oh how I loved seeing you when I would go into the store. I’d go straight through your line, we’d talk, catch up a bit and you would give me such a warm hug after. How I wish I could tell you I’m in your motherland country, stationed here. But something tells me you’re up there seeing me. Till we meet again Mrs.Marliese.

Marliese loved her family, friends, and pets with all her heart. She was a kind, gentle soul to all who were privileged to know her. We will miss her very very much. My deepest sympathies to her loving husband Jim.
