Robert L. Ochampaugh, SR. Age 65 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ August 6, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on November 11, 1954 in Wilhiem, Germany. Robert came to the USA as a teenager and later as an adult he became a United States of America citizen. He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1975 and served in the United States Army reserves from 1975 to 1977.
Robert is survived by his wife Jackie Elaine Ochampaugh, his son Robert L, Ochampaugh JR. (Kim) Ochampaugh, his daughter Vanessa Ann (Mike) Duncan, his son Christopher Alexander (Samantha) Ochampaugh. Granddaughter Jessica Ann Marie (Michael) Duncan, Gabrielle Angeline Ochampaugh, Alexandra Marie Burris, Elizabeth Karoline Ochampaugh, Savannah Rae Ochampaugh and Caitlyn Mae Ochampaugh. Great Grandsons Michael Aleczander Duncan III, and Ezra Henry Duncan.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife Aida Elizabeth Ochampaugh, His grandmother Anna Rhem.
Robert is also survived by several cousins, their children in Germany. Robert is also survived by cousins Kirk (Chassidy) Ochampaugh, Kaylee Ochampaugh, Chondel Ochampaugh, and bothers-n-law Gary Harp, Lindsey (Glenda) Harp, Sisters-in-law Hope (Jeff) Cook, Ruth (Scott)Solomon and Sherry (Mike) McCollough, step nephews Brad (Amanda) McColloug, Paul Harp and Aaron Harp.
Roberts passion was preaching and teaching the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His second passion was reloading ammunition.
Robert L. Ochampaugh Sr, assistant Pastor at SpringHill Baptist Church in Milton, Fl. Robert was a wonderful husband and father. Robert and I Shared a awesome twelve years of marriage. He loves his children dearly and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He prayed for them daily. Robert will be missed by all who knew him. Robert loved God with all his heart, Soul and might. Robert was a man after the Heart of God. He woke up every morning with a song on his lips. He petitioned the Lord every day and our Lord spoke to him. He loved to preach the word of god. He loved to encourage people. He loved to hear fellow Christians speak of the things God is and has done in their lives.
Robert also had a passion loading/ reloading ammunition. He enjoyed shooting/ target practice. His knowledge of loading/reloading ammo was phenomenal.
Services will be held Monday, August 10th at 11AM from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside to follow at Old Bethel Cemetery.
