Roger D. Stewart, 87, of Crestview, passed away peacefully at his home on January 11, 2020. He was born September 13, 1932 in Santa Rita, New Mexico, grew up in Arizona and made Crestview his home. After his service in the United States Air Force, he was an industrial electrician by trade and a retired school bus driver with the Okaloosa County School Board. Roger loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was also a member of Dorcas Baptist Church. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.
Roger is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary Jane Weekley Stewart (Honey), Son's Derrick Stewart, Darrell Stewart (Shannon), Dellwyn Stewart; daughters Dana Godwin (Danny) and Detra Reed. 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and his little buddy “Bear”. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 15, from the Dorcas Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Dorcas Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM, at the church.
