Roy “Duke” McCranie 69, of Baker, Florida passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Crestview, Florida. Duke was born on July 24, 1955 in Crestview, Florida to Luther and Clara McCranie. Duke attended Munson School and then graduated from Milton High School to then move to Baker, Florida. Duke was a retired heavy equipment operator with Okaloosa County. He enjoyed playing softball, camping, hunting (running dogs), grilling and spending time with the boys at the racetrack.
Duke is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Clara McCranie and his son, Chris Elder.
Duke is survived by his two sons, Cord McCranie and Kevin McCranie, his brother, Robert McCranie, his five grandchildren, his two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service.
