Teresa Ann Dotson, 57, of Baker, FL passed away on August 25, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Teresa was an avid Braves fan, mother to all she met, and the conductor of our lives. She loved her children, but her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.
Teresa married her high school sweetheart, Ted Dotson, in 1982 and during their 42 year marriage they raised 5 children. After the children were grown, she decided to go back to college and complete her AA degree.
Teresa often enjoyed teaching her grandchildren about gardening, cooking, and of course watching them play in the sink. During baseball season you knew not to talk to her while the Braves were playing whether it was on the TV or she had the radio on.
She is survived by her parents Robert and Lola Allen; husband Ted; Sister Angela (Steve); Brother in law Tracy (Tamara); Children: Dixie, Amber (Michael), Heather, Morgan (Daniel), and Neill; Grandchildren: Link, Joe, Melody, Addie, Artie, Harmony, Aria, Timpani; Nieces: Brianna, Amanda; Nephews: Brandon, Chris.
We will be having a Gathering of Friends and Family on Thursday, August 29th, at Brackney Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

We might not see each other for long periods of time but when did it’s like you just picked up where you left off. She bragged regularly about her grands and was evident she loved them. Close tie between the Braves and those Babies. Never missed a reunion that I recall and willing to pitch in on short notice. Was a Loyal Friend to the End. Our last meeting will always be treasured. Prayers to her husband, her Family and loved ones. The CLASS OF ‘84 Baker High Gators will miss you dearly

She was my cousin but I always called her my aunt! she was like a second mother to me growing up. most of my summers and after school days I spent at their house with Morgan. She was always smiling and positive! One of my fondest memories of her was when she went after a snake that was under the trampoline while me morgan and Neill were jumping on it. She was not about to let that thing near us. I love you lady and you will be truly missed by all! Rest easy and fly high!

I am so saddened to hear of the news. I am SO glad I was able to see her and briefly catch up a little while ago. She was the same bright light, giggling, caring Ms. Teresa I’ve always known. She made sure to ask me how life was; I showed her photos of my newborn – after all these years, we are still her “kids”.
I will always remember her positive presence and support for her family, and family unrelated, all throughout school. What a legacy she has left. I’m so blessed to have known her.
To the Dotsons: I want to express my deepest sympathies in this difficult time and to let you know that though even though I haven’t seen you all in a long time, I love you all.

Morgan and Dixie my heart goes out to you and your family. So sad that she was called to her rest at such a young age. Take comfort that you see traces of her in the faces of your siblings and children. She lives on through you. Peace and love to all of you.
