William “Bill” Russell Erb Jr. 67, of Crestview, Florida has passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 in Pensacola, Florida. Bill was born on February 23, 1958 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William and Ruth Erb. Bill moved to our area in August 2000 from Charleston, South Carolina.
After twenty four years of honorable service, Bill retired from the United States Air Force. He was also retired from the Santa Rosa County Jail. He loved watching his kids and grandkids grow up. Bill will forever be remembered for his strength, dedication, and love. He leaves a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the heart of his family, friends, and who served alongside him.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Ashley Smith (Allen), his grandchildren, Aubrey, Ava, Jr., and Damon, his son, Aaron Erb, his sister, Kathleen Kaper (Richard) and his nieces and nephews.

My heart aches for the Erb family. I knew Bill for about 23 years, meeting him at a class we took together, and remained friends through the years. He was a good man and will be missed. Rest in peace brother.
