Dear Cochran family,
We have only known your family for a very short time and only met Dan at the wedding. He and Jeannine raised some remarkable, amazing children. We are so thankful to have you all in our lives. Our heart and prayers go out to you all. And to our amazing Audrey, Weston, and Charlotte-we love you more than you know and are always here for you. Sarah and Gwen, thank you for letting us be a part of your life too. When Alex married Audrey, we had no idea what an amazing family we were getting. We love you all and are so sorry for the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather.
Much love,
Blair and Jolyn Kirkman and family

Saw this in the Nevada Appeal. Very sorry for your loss. Much too young. Although I hadn’t seen Dan since high school, I certainly considered him a friend. We knew each other since we were probably four or five years old. We didn’t have much in common really as I was more of a jock and Dan was studious yet fun, you know?
The photo in the paper looked just like the Dan I remember, so thank you for sharing it, and again, so sorry he’s gone.

Only worked with Dan for a little while but man, was he a nice guy and excellent at his craft. He was as reliable as they come and such a joy to work with. All of my best wishes and prayers for the family.

I enjoyed working with Dan at Eglin AFB. A consummate professional. He had a perpetual smile on his face and was always ready to help. I pray that his family and friends have peace and comfort at his passing.
