Linda Gail Morris Combs Johnston

Linda Morris Johnston, 75, of Crestview, FL passed away after an acute illness on September 21, 2023. She
left a legacy of love and laughter that will be remembered and cherished by her family and friends.
Living most of her life in Virginia, Linda loved having a home where family and friends could gather.

She started most days with a good cup of coffee and time spent working in her flower garden. She
loved holiday celebrations, especially the 4th of July, long conversations on the phone with loved ones,
Nascar racing, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She had a passion for Civil War history, stamp and coin
collecting, and enjoyed watching old westerns. Linda has left this life and may not have spoken to
some of you in recent years, but in her own words, she would likely say, “I’ll talk atcha there later.”

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Mack Morris and Thelma Warburton, and sister Sharon Huff.

Drinking a cup of coffee, eating a bowl of cocoa crispies, watching ID, history or western channels or the Pittsburg Steelers will never be the same. Cutting and styling someone’s hair or trimming and painting nails, will never be the same. So, so many memories Mom, you gave me. No matter if I was right or wrong, YOU always stood by me. And for this I am so grateful. The Lord took you way too soon! There will never be a day I don’t miss you from now until the day I leave this Earth. There will be days that I wish I could pick the phone up and just talk and talk, but no more. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I’ll leave with this, and I get the last word in this time:
Well, alrighty then… I’ll be talking tatcha there later! ! 🥰😇 in Heaven!
My heart is broken! I love you, Mom!
