Bonnie Ree Spence Phillips was born on January 7, 1936 in Bradley, Alabama to
Houston T. and America Spence. At the age of 86 she entered her heavenly home
on Friday November 18, 2022 surrounded by her loving children.
She is predeceased by: her mother and father, America and Houston T. Spence,
her husband, Houston N. Phillips, her brothers, Hubert and Lee Dan Spence, and
her sister, Annie Lee Barnes.
She grew up in the Bradley community and attended W.S. Neal High School in
Brewton, Alabama.
She was a member of the Eastern Star.
After marriage she relocated to Crestview, Florida and raised her family there.
She eventually relocated to Fort Walton Beach, Fl. to be closer to immediate
family.
Throughout her life, she was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother. Most of
her life she worked in the health care industry and eventually retired from the
Okaloosa County Health Department. She was always very active in the lives of
her children, keeping them involved in church and school activities.
She was always active in her church and spiritual life. In recent years she enjoyed
watching services via live stream from the First United Methodist Church of Fort
Walton Beach.
She is survived by her three children: Donna Chapman, Kathryn A. Wilson (Jim),
Hank Houston Phillips (Jennifer Denham)
Five loving grandchildren: Charles T. Chapman IV (Karyn), Phillip Chapman (Leah),
Corbin Phillips (Faith), Spence Phillips and Lundy Phillips
Five precious great grandchildren: Tyler Chapman, Addison Chapman, Caleb
Chapman, Ellen Jane (Ellie) Chapman and Noxx Phillips
