Davina is my second cousin, was a pretty little girl, then a beautiful lady. Her smile is absolutely stunning. I can see Davina had many grandchildren to spoil, and it makes my heart happy to see they were lights in her life. My condolences to her husband Bob, each of her girls and to the precious grandchildren that will surely miss Nana.

She was my environmental science teacher my junior year.. I was the only student that got her anything for teacher appreciation week. She told me that herself. My senior year I didn’t have a first or last period. She let me sit in her room during those times and I helped her grade papers to help take the load off of her and she would get me candy bars for helping out. Most of those candy bars I gave to someone else. Because I didn’t need them, she was one of the best teachers I ever had. I didn’t need any form of payment for helping her out. She gave me enough payment by being the best teacher and person I’ve ever known. Rest easy mrs Carroll. You will always be in my heart.❤️ I will never forget the things you’ve taught me

Davina was one of the best, kindest person I knew. She loved her family, friends and everyone around her with her whole heart. It breaks my heart that she was taken away so soon when she had so much more to give. My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob, the girls and the rest of the family. She will forever have a place in our hearts and continue to be an angel watching over us! We love you Davina!

To the family of Mrs. Carroll or as I called her, Madame Blueberry. I work at Crestview High School in the lunchroom. I run the Brew Dawg Café for the students. Mrs. Carroll would come visit me and she would buy iced coffee, pretzels, and her favorite, our blueberry parfaits. Her classroom was way across the school so I told her she could give me her number and I would text her in the morning to let her know if we had any blueberry parfaits. I put her in my phone as Madame Blueberry 🫐 like from the Christian cartoons Veggie Tales. She was a sweetie. The end of last year, she brought me peaches from her tree. Our last text was on September 6. I just wanted y’all to know that she was so sweet to me and she will be missed. So very sorry for your loss…..

Words alone can not express my sincerest condolences to all of you; I can not imagine the sudden loss you are experiencing right now. Please know that my heartfelt thoughts and prayers are going out to all of you. May God keep and hold you close and provide you the strength, during this very difficult time. May Davina’s soul rest in peace, as you carry her spirit and memory in your hearts.

Mrs. Carroll was my 1st Period Science Teacher last school year. She was my favorite teacher of that school year and still is one of my favorite teachers ever. Since the first day of school last year we immediately bonded and she became my favorite teacher and I became her favorite student (her words not mine). I would help out with grading papers, cleaning up, making lesson plans, running errands, trying some chocolate her husband brought back from Europe because she wanted me to try it, and so much more. Mrs. Carroll made a difference in my life and taught me so much about Environmental Science. Mrs. Carroll was one of the main reasons that I changed my life plans and what I was going to major in during college from a medical examiners to a teacher. Mrs. Carroll was a true blessing to me, all of the student of Crestview High School and Crestview High School as a whole.

We lost and kind and genuine colleague at Crestview High School in Davina Carroll where she leaves behind countless friends to whom she was loyal and warm. She cared deeply about her students, was always nurturing and offered a kind ear. A corner of Davina’s classroom was covered with pictures of her family and in particular, her grandchildren. I was privileged know her for almost 20 years and was fortunate to have coached her daughter, Aleisha, who like her mother became a wonderful mother as well. May His grace warm and comfort her family and be they left with only the loving memories of a life well lived.
