Debi was such an encouragement to me. Her words and her Facebook posts pushed me forward when I was down. I’m not even sure if I ever heard or read any complaining. She always told me what a wonderful God she served. Just as she told me, she is healed and loving being with Jesus. I was blessed to consider Debi my friend. One day we will all worship with her again.

I will miss my friend so much. She was always able to give a smile, or laugh, even with terrible sickness. Rest high my friend, you are not hurting anymore.❤️🙏🏻

My Aunt Debi was a great person with a heart of gold. She was a major influence in my life, being she was the “cool” aunt. She taught me about awesome music, fashion, art, and to love New Orleans. She encouraged me to be my true self and live life. She was always a free spirit as am I. We once watched a sunset on the beach together and agreed there’s no better place in the world than this beach, right now, in this moment. She loved me and my sister like we were hers; when we became mothers, our kids were her grands. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for the people she loved. If she loved you, you knew it because she loved so hard. I know I’ll see her again in that place wherever our spirits go. I love you Aunt Debi.

So sad to know that she is gone. Deb and I had many long conversations, she always accepted people for who they were no matter what. She is in no pain and gained her wings
