Dorothy Johnson-Moore 76,  passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 . Dorothy was born on September 4, 1946 in Greenville, Alabama to William and Era Booker. She moved to Okaloosa County in 1960 and has been a resident ever since. Dorothy retired from Sprint Telephone Company as a Customer Care Representative and was an avid reader and loved playing games on Facebook.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, William Jackson and Era Leafy Booker, her son, William Dale Neal and her husband, Robert Earl Moore.

Dorothy is survived by her son, David Neal (Vickie), her daughter, Deborah Wilson (Aileen), four stepchildren, David Moore (Brittany), Cyndee Larsen (Richard), Tammy Moore, Crystal Rodriguez (Rudy), three brothers, William Hubert “Bill” Booker, Robert Edward Booker, Ricky Lynn Booker (Geraldine), three grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 beginning at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Tyson Turner officiating. Burial to follow at Bullard Cemetery in Baker, Florida. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

I am so sorry about your loss David I can’t believe she’s gone wow she was great I miss her already and no I didn’t get to see her very much I didn’t know I figured everybody had moved away when Mom and Daddy died I am so sorry I hope that she gets to heaven she’ll tell Daddy how much I miss him and Mom and she was always a great person and a great prayer warrior for everybody it didn’t matter who you were she didn’t even have to know you she still prayed for you I’ll never forget her

David and Deborah, I’m so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Dorothy for many years at Centel. She spoke with love of both of you often. RIP Dorothy. You will be greatly missed.
