Eddy Carroll Whobrey Sr. 72, of Crestview Florida passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, at North Okaloosa Medical Center. Eddy was born on September 29, 1949, in Florala, Alabama to Jake and Gerry Whobrey. Eddy lived in the Florida Panhandle his whole life, he was a past Master at Beaver Creek Lodge 230, a York Rite Member, a member of IBEW Labor Union 676 in Pensacola for over 50 years along with being an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was a kind and loving partner to his spouse of 53 years, Betty, as well as an amazing father to his three sons, Eddy C. Whobrey Jr., William Whobrey and Herbert Whobrey. He had always wanted children and considered himself lucky to have three. His children called their dad a superhero, and even as adults, still see him that way. He was always there for them through their ups and downs and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer.
Eddy is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Gerry Whobrey and his brother, William Whobrey.
Eddy is survived by his sisters, Gaynell and Vernon Rogers, Sandra and Bob Wallace, Marty Cordell (Jeff Chinn) and Denise and Bobbie Soucy along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Old Bethel Cemetery in Crestview, Florida with Pastor Jim Skates officiating. In Lieu of Flowers you may donate to the Beaver Creek Lodge 230 in Baker Florida.
