Gearldine Taylor Kersey, 71, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on September 5, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.
Geraldine was born October 31, 1951, to parents Johnnie Hilbert and Winnie Viola Taylor. She has been a proud, lifelong Okaloosa county resident. She was left a widow after 34 years of marriage to Michael Clifton Kersey. She found love again with Robert Jackson Lloyd for 15 years. Her true loves, however, were her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and, of course, her doggies (especially Gracie).
Gearldine is survived by her daughter Angela (Bobby), son John (Amy) and daughter Michelle (Donald), her grandchildren Bobby II, Tiffanie, Benjamin, Lana and Holden, her great-grandchildren Branden, Jorden, Delilah, Silas, Landon, Ryanna, and Lucas.
Gearldine loved to sit outside by the pool waiting for the day she’d be well enough to swim or “float” and watch Gracie play. She had several nicknames over the years but the one she went by the last 10 years was her favorite, GiGi. She had many talents that she was most proud, she helped color eggs for the Easter Bunny, sent Santa “hints”, and was an avid reader. She will be greatly missed!
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 pm at Brackney Funeral Service Chapel with Bobby Moore speaking.
