George Randall Joiner Sr.  {Randy}

George Randall Joiner Sr. {Randy} was peacefully escorted to his eternal heavenly home. Randy quietly took his last breath at 9:25 pm on Sunday May 7, 2023 with his wife of 27 years by his side. Randy passed away with the excitement of seeing his daughter Jordan and his mother Betty once again. Randy fought a hard battle for almost 7 months after suffering a rupture of a major artery behind his sinus cavity and being in a coma for 32 days. As hard as it is to lose someone so loved, as a family we rejoice in the fact he is no longer in constant pain.

Randy was born on Oct. 6, 1948, to George W. Joiner and Betty Cowart Joiner. Randy started his life living in a historic home in Seville Sq. Pensacola Fl. He was baptized in the Historic Old Christ Church directly across from his home. Randy loved his family and was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. Randy loved all things outdoors. He was an avid reader, loved to fish, hunt and loved feeding and watching birds. Randy found so much joy in just sitting among nature and watching wildlife around him.

Randy graduated from Crestview High School in 1966 and just 2 weeks later boarded a bus to join the Marines where he would proudly become a sharpshooter. After leaving the Marines Randy graduated from the University of West Florida with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. After Randy’s retirement and the loss of his youngest child Jordan, he became an Ambassador with LifeNet Health and Donate Life Florida. Randy loved the opportunity to volunteer and share stories of Jordan and loved being able to keep her memory alive.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents George (Vivian) Joiner and Betty (James) Spillers, his youngest child Jordan Paige Joiner, both in-laws Gill and Dorothy Raybon, his sister Darree Joiner Hart and nephew Dakota Johnson.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Eva Raybon Joiner, 4 children George Randall Joiner Jr. (Missy Vause), Lara, Amber and Holly. 5 grandchildren Matheus and Bryson Ribeiro, Josef Joiner, Lexie Joiner and Khaliah Raybon Joiner, whom he had an extra special relationship with. Sister Donna (Dewayne) Ulrich and Arleen Raybon Tidwell (Chris), Brother-in-law Michael (Janet) Raybon, Uncle Ottis (Marie) Joiner, Aunt Dottie {Wayne} Pugh and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and several very close friends.

The family invites anyone that loved Randy to attend his funeral service and celebration of life ceremony on June 3, 22023 at First Baptist Church, 171 East Hickory Ave, Crestview, Fl. 32536. The family will start to receive friends and family at 1:00 pm and the service will begin at 2:00pm in the main Chapel with a celebration reception immediately following the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brackney Funeral Home in Crestview.  The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice Care, especially his nurses Christine, Chloe, Katie and Mindy. Special thanks to Dr.Steven Donchey. An extra special thanks to all who have contacted the family with texts, calls, cards and donations toward Randy’s Funeral Expenses.
