Helen Mae Bishop 91, of Holt, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023.

Helen was born on March 28, 1932 in Richmond, Virginia to Richard and Eva Burton. She moved to Okaloosa County in 1950 and has been a resident ever since. Helen was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Holt. She enjoyed reading, working, word puzzles, ceramics and gardening.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Bishop.

Helen is survived by her three daughters, Linda Bishop Morelli, Debbie Bishop Johnson and Joann Bishop Alford and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Holt with Pastor Caleb Copeland officiating. Burial to follow at Holt Cemetery in Holt Florida. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Nanny you will be Grately missed and Loved so very much. You excepted me not as a Step Granddaughter but as one of your own and you taught me so very much in the past 22 yrs you excepted my kids and their kids and for that We are Eternally Grateful. Heaven has an Amazing Angel now and I know you are having so much fun with Grandpa and the rest of the Family. Until we meet again Nanny tell Jimmy Hi for Mama and give him a great big hug and tell him him to give You a Giant Hug For Me. I Love You.
