I grew up with Dewayne and Joe. I never could do sign language but I know he was kind, caring thoughtful as a teenager!
He ask me to dance once and I was so impressed with his thoughtfulness. I was only only about 14 so he was much older.
He made me feel special.
We all lived in Niceville, Florida then.
My brother in law (Bill Baker) deceased lived near their homes, so I got to know the family.
His Mom snd Dad were good people.
It showed in how the children acted,
I think of them all many times and Joe!
Rest Joe, your job here is done.

I had the pleasure of knowing Joe Cox. I met him way back in the mid-2000’s at the SBCD. I found him to be very Godly and pure ASL Pastor. I loved every part of conversations with him. He will be missed for the time bring until I meet him again sometime in the future.
P.S. I never forget his story about alligator.

I learned so much from Joe at FBCD. He was a gentle, sweet man who loved God and his family. His job is done on earth but I know I will see him in heaven. Well done good and faithful servant.

I know him long time in deaf school in St Augustine, FL. He was one year older than me. He was in my class for last 3 years before he left. He was so cool and good guy. He always smiled and be happy. He will be missed by many deaf who grow up with him in deaf school.

While Iris knew Joe and Daphne for over 45 years, I had the pleasure of meeting Joe several times over the past 5 years. We are saddened by the passing of this wonderful man, this selfless servant, this gentle lion of God who was always giving his love and humor to others. Only God knows how many lives he has touched in a positive way and more friendships no doubt await him. While we grieve he has moved on, our memories of him and the example he set for us live on forever.
