John David Hardy

John passed away on Monday morning, October 10, 2022, in Pensacola, FL. He was born in Concord, AL on April 2, 1942, to Bill and Peggy Hardy. He was a 1960 graduate of Hueytown High School and joined the United States Navy, serving for 4 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Paulette, on January 3, 1963. After leaving the Navy, and in late December 1964, John and Paulette moved to Tarpon Springs, FL, and then to Fort Walton Beach, FL in 1966. In 1972, they decided to move to Crestview and make it their hometown to raise a family. John worked as an Electronic Technician for Vitro on Eglin Air Force Base for 40 years.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Peggy; wife, Paulette Hardy; brother, Dean Hardy, his sisters-in-law, Ocie Hardy and Charlotte Slocum; his brothers-in-law, Ronald Annis and Marcus Hasty. He is survived by his son, David Hardy of Crestview, FL; his daughter, Rachel (Kenneth) Arndt of Pensacola, FL; his grandsons, Zachery Biggs, Nicholas Arndt, Aaron Arndt, and Aiden Arndt; his brother, Thomas Hardy of Pulaski, TN; sisters-in-law, Patricia Annis of Birmingham, AL, Mary Gwin of Pelham, AL, and Cindy Hasty of Tifton, GA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Brackney Funeral Service Crestview is entrusted with arrangements.

Our hearts hurt. I am so sad to see him go. But thankful he is not suffering anymore. We are praying for you, Rachel and David, to feel God’s strength, comfort and peace. We love you with all our hearts.

My dear friend has made the run successfully …..We have been friends for years and did
have some good times of fellowship…..Never saw her when she was smiling and saying kind greetings…. May God comfort the family for I am sure she will b e missed… She would want me to tell her survivors and friends to be ready to meet her in the air when Jesus Comes..
