Opal L. Gilmore age 90 passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 in Crestview, Florida.
She was born on July 4th, 1933 in Laurel Hill, Florida. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake. She loved to quilt in her spare time. Opal was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father Hobson Scarbrough, mother Allie Scarbrough, and her husband, Howard L Gilmore.
Opal is survived by her 3 children, Donnie(Debi) Gilmore, Randall(Kim) Gilmore and a daughter, Tillie(Harvey) Wilton, two brothers Claude Scarbrough from Crestview, Florida,Gary Scarbrough, from Sarasota, Florida, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will ne held at 11:00AM Friday, May 10th at New Harmony Baptist Church in Defuniak Springs Florida. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM until service time. Burial will be at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
