Robert Calvin Padgett Jr., 68 of Niceville, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022. Bobby was born on May 19, 1954 to Robert and Lois Padgett in Albany, Georgia. Bobby moved to the Panhandle in 1960 from Sacremento, California and has been a resident ever since. He was a mechanic/fabricator at EZ Go Golf Carts and a member of Crosspoint Church in Niceville. Bobby loved riding motorcycles and tinkering with trucks.
Bobby had a very generous heart, he loved recycling and was always on the lookout for neat things. It gave him great pleasure to bring something home to one of his loved ones. He loved spending time with family and was always calling everyone to talk on the phone. Bobby was a huge animal lover, he even had a pet turkey that rode around with him in his car. He was especially fond of his cats.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lois Padgett and his sister, Shirley Holiday.
Bobby is survived by his brothers, Timothy Padgett (Janice), David Padgett (Susie), James Padgett (Darby), John Padgett (Renee), his sisters, Linda Richardson (Dave) and Carol Ratliff (Larry) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Mossy Head with Pastor Tony McCullough officiating. Burial to follow at Mossy Head Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 p.m. – 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Mossy Head.

Our thoughts and loving prayers for Bobby’s family and friends as they grieve his loss, but also we pray that they find comfort in knowing that he has gone home to be with our Lord, and is helping to prepare for that great reunion we will all take part in someday. God bless you all.
