Steve Watson, 59 of Baker Florida passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022. Mr. Watson was born on April 24, 1963, in Crestview Florida to Sam and Lorene Watson. Steve’s occupation was in the Food Service and was retired from The Okaloosa County School District. He was a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County and a devoted member of Shady Grove Assembly of God who also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Sam Watson and his sister Cindy Watson.

Steve is survived by his mother, Lorene Watson, his brother, Trent Watson, his sister, Darlene Watson (Keith) Garrett and a host of friends, extended family including Tracy, Brian, and Rob, two nieces, Savana (Justin) Phelps, Jeri Garrett and a great nephew and niece, Eric and Charlotte.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, beginning at 3:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service, with Pastor Mel Coon officiating. Burial to follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 2 – 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Lorene and Darlene, I was sure sorry to hear of Steve’s passing.. he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in these coming days , weeks and months . Steve always picked at me when he saw me at Antioch when I worked there and he was always carrying on with the lunch crew making us all laugh and smile which made for a good day . My sincerest condolences to the Watson family. I knew Steve from Auburn Pentecostal and had became friends with him about 3 years ago. He was a wonderful & loving man & I know that he is now resting in peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
