Zachary Tyler Jernigan 42, of Crestview, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Zac was born on November 3, 1980, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to John and Kay Jernigan.
Zac grew up in Crestview, Florida. He was a 1999 graduate of Crestview High School.
At an early age, Zac loved sports, he played baseball, football and golf. His parents were very proud of all his achievements, they attended every game cheering him on.
Having two sons of his own, Zac would play ball with them in the yard, go fishing, whittling sticks with Lucas on the front porch and many bonfires. Zac loved the boys wholeheartedly and was extremely proud of their accomplishments in school and baseball.
Zac truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; hanging out with family and friends, going to the river, trail riding and being a Dad. He was loved and will be missed by all.
Zac is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emmett and Ada Jernigan, his maternal grandparents, Nathan and Martha Jo Lord.
Zac is survived by his parents, John and Kay Jernigan, his two sons, Jace Dean Jernigan and Lucas Tyler Jernigan, his two brothers, Jeremy Nathan Jernigan and Robert Clayton Jernigan, his two nieces, Alyssa Stewart and Aleigh Jernigan and his nephew, Gage Jernigan.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 4pm – 6 pm at the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service.
