Alice Bowling, of Valparaiso, FL passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Alice was born August 21, 1926 in Harlan, KY. She was Baptist by faith and supported her husband's Air Force career raising their family in Ohio, Japan, South Carolina, Philippines and retiring in Florida. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Alice was the last of many siblings. She is preceded in death by her son Jack Stacey and stepdaughter Jeanne Cooley. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Forest Charles Bowling; daughters Deborah Tipton, and Pat Brantley (Jeff), 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Alice's husband Forest was her caregiver for many years, but the family is also grateful for the compassionate care Alice received from the staff of Carington Manor and Hospice. A private family service will be held at a later date.
