Carol Cooper Martin, 62, of Crestview, Florida, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2020. Carol was born in Crestview on March 13, 1958 to parents Vernon and Cloise Cooper.

Carol was a member of the Big Red Machine at Crestview High School where she was the Drum Majorette her junior and senior years. After high school, Carol married her high school sweetheart, Bobby. Together they began their work in the ministry throughout South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama and Florida. Her and Bobby served as Children’s Pastors, Youth Pastors, and Senior Pastors. Carol had an amazing voice and sang and lead worship. After moving back to Crestview in 2000, Carol eventually went to work for Fred Spears where she served as his office administrator. She was also very gifted in decorating and crafting and had a booth withher daughter Jordan at Old Time Antiques.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Vernon Cooper, and her mother, Cloise Cooper, who she dearly loved and missed daily.

Carol is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bobby, their children Jordan (Craig), Taylor(Josh) and Cooper, and grandchildren Jerzie, Tate, Beau and Luke. She is also survived by her sister, Pam.

Carol loved and lived well, and served the Lord faithfully. Her family was her life and she never missed an opportunity to show us her love. Her decorating skills made her home a wonderfully beautiful and cozy place and she loved to share it with her people. Full of personality and charm, her warm smile, contagious laughter, generosity and hospitable nature will be missed by all. She was precious to her family and her friends.

While she is missed beyond compare, we take heart that she is not lost, because we know where she is. She is at home with the Lord, healed and fully alive, and we rejoice to know we will be with her soon.

I worked down the sidewalk from Mr. Dale Rice when Carol worked for him on Pine Avenue. Always a delight to be around! We shared a lot of good times. Looking forward to being able to sit down with her in glory real soon!

My loving thoughts and prayers go out to Bobby, Jordan, Taylor, Cooper, Pam and all Carol’s other family and friends that she treasured. As I’ve reflected on her life the last few days, I’ve recalled so many wonderful memories that I have of her as a beloved childhood friend. To know Carol was to love her. She had such a joy and exuberance about her and the love of Jesus always flowed from her. I have no doubt that at this moment she’s with the Lord that she loved. Although the world just grew a little darker for everyone that loved her, we have the joy of knowing that we will see her again in Heaven one day soon. I love and miss you sweet friend.

I am honored and feel privileged to have known Carol. She was a sweet soul and always had an encouraging word for me. My heart goes out to Bobby, Taylor, Jordan, Cooper, Pam and family. Bobby, you once gave me this scripture, "He will keep thee at perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him." Isaiah 26:3. That is what I pray for each of you. Carol is in the presence of our Lord and she’s alive and well. I have no doubt we all will see her again. Until then, my friend.

I am so blessed to have her as my grandmother, to be lucky enough to get to call her “ Grandmommy “ . She inspired and cared about so many people. It’s definitely hard knowing that she is gone, but she is not lost she is with god in heaven. I know she is no longer in pain and that puts a smile on my face. I love & miss you Grandmommy.❤️
