Cherry L. Wilkins, age 91, of Milligan, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her home. She was born in Tallassee, Alabama on July 16, 1930.
Chery began her working career with Alabama Textiles in Crestview, where she worked for many years before going to work for the FDOT, where she eventually retired.
She was a loving , compassionate and generous person that loved her Lord and spread his message to everyone she met. She had a long life filled with friends, traveled most of the world and has finally reached her goal of meeting her Savior, Jesus Christ, that she spoke of so many times.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Peacock Langley and Harvey H. Langley, Sr. and was the last surviving member of seven children. She was also preceded by her husband Fred C. Wilkins.
She is survived by two children Rick S. & wife Paula Cosson and Sherry P. Fleming & husband Harry Fleming.
two grandchildren Nickie Edge & husband Derrick and Jacob Cosson & wife Carly.
three great grandchildren Ethan Edge, Owen & Gabe Cosson
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 3:00PM, Tuesday, July 27, from the Milligan Assembly of God with Pastor Mike White officiating. Burial will follow in the Pyron Chapel Cemetery.

Well , this dear one has run her race, finished her course in living for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Known her for years…Fellowship with she and Fred at the Senor Citizen Dinners in Holt for years…So pleasant..I am sure she is resting in the Peace of God just now. She will be waiting for the Christina who are still here and we'll meet together one day…Not too far away the time May the peace of God and Comfort of the Holy Spirit with the the family and friends…

She will be greatly missed. She was a dear friend. She worked with my Mother (Edna Cawthon) and she was a dear friend of my Mom who also passed away at 91 almost five years ago. Now they both can rest in peace or shout and sing "When we all get to Heaven".Thank you for being apart of my life.I will cherish it forever.
