Cristeta Diva Canete

Cristeta Diva Canete 80, of Crestview, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Cristeta was born on January 12, 1943 to Dominador and Teofila Diva in Daja Leyte, Philippines and has lived in Okaloosa County for 21 years. She was a retired employee of Walmart in Crestview, she was a greeter and then worked in the Deli. Cristeta was a catholic by faith and attended of Our Lady of Victory Church.

Cristeta is preceded in death by her parents Dominador and Teofila Diva and her siblings.

Cristeta is survived by her husband of fifty years, Alfredo Canete, her son, Alfredo Canete Jr. (Wilbeth), her adopted son, Rosalito Diva, her daughters, Rowena (James) Jentzen, Brenda Batican, Edith (Joel) Bazar and Sheila Canete, her eighteen grandchildren, Kayleigh, Faith, Joevanie, Charity, Joel, Joenel, Joedith, Joecel, Vincent, May Anne, J.V., Deone, Diane, Stewart, Faye, Remelyn, Houne Mae and Reizen, her sixteen great grandchildren, Joevanie, Abegail, Jian, Janelle, Aya, Zion, Abrianna, J.R., Zane, Alex, Fiona, Ramses, Brianna, Massy, Richfill and T.J.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Roy Marien officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. from The Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service.
