Debbie Holt, age 68, of Escambia Farms, Florida entered into rest on Thursday, May 9, with her family by her side. Debbie was born on September 16, 1955 in Crestview, she was raised and has lived in Escambia Farms, all of her life. Debbie is a 1973 graduate of Baker High School and a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church. Along with her husband, Steve, they have owned and operated Holt Well Service for many years, she was the voice who customers talked to first.. Debbie has a passion for autos, she was a member of the Spanish Trail Cruisers in Crestview and the Bad Boys in Pensacola.
She always took care of her family first. She enjoyed trips to the mountains, weekends at the river house, car shows and working in her flowers.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Donald Selvage, G.P. Gunter & Runette Gunter.
Survivors include her husband and best friend of 51 years Steve Holt
2 children Chad & Kim Holt, Stephanie & Billy Barton
4 grandchildren Logan & Summer Holt, Colby Holt, Ryan Barton & Tyler Barton
a great grandson Emmitt Holt
along with a host of extended family including Ann Holland, who she considered a sister, brother & sister-in-law Robert & Nell Gunter, Bonus daughters Karen DuBose & Kristy Neal
A special thanks to Charlotte Kennedy, for her care and concern and always being there.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:30PM, Saturday, May 11, 2024 from Good Hope Baptist Church, 1895 Olin Cotton Road, Baker, FL 32531. Burial will follow in the Cotton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Brackney Funeral Service, Crestview, is entrusted with arrangements.

I first met Debbie when I was in grade school in Ms. Ferris’s music class, Debbie was an assistant and I thought that she was beautiful and that never changed. Our families have known one another for a lifetime and there’s no way to put into words how much this hurts. Our hearts are with the Holt family and we extend our deepest condolences.

Debbie will be missed dearly. I can remembered when I was little my daddy Lamar Cook would take me and my brother Mathew Cook to visit Debbie, Steve Holt, Stephanie Barton Holt and Chad Holt. Debbie has earned her wings and smiling.
